Description:
Email services provide staff with the ability to send and receive written messages, send documents, organize appointments and manage day to day business tasks personally or with colleague's and collaborators.
Email Services include:
- Your staff email account
- Shared calendars for appointments
- Personal contact lists and University mail list administration
- Productivity tools such as tasks, reminders and email search functionality
- Antivirus and spam protection
- Archiving of historical email, attachments and appointments.
- Mailbox restore
- Application Mail relay
- Distribution Lists
- Generic Mailbox
Email services can be accessed via:
- A QU issued desktop or laptop
- Home or shared computers using Webmail on an internet browse(https://qumail.qu.edu.qa)
- Portable internet enabled devices such as mobile phones, PDA's and iPads
Access Request:
- All staff is provided with access to QU Email System when their QU user account is created.
- Shared mailboxes and calendars can be created by logging a service request with the ITS Help Desk.
- Generic Mailboxes will require completion of ‘Generic Mailbox Request’ form and its submission via ITS Helpdesk.

Description:
Electronic mailing list management, continuously developed to meet the latest demands, provides everything you need to manage all of your opt-in email lists, including email newsletters, announcements, discussion groups and email communities, A request to ITS Helpdesk should be submitted to establish using this service.

Services for students are hosted in the cloud which provides anytime anywhere access to: MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook and 1 TB OneDrive Online storage.
Services include:
- Provisioning of student Email account
- MS Office 365 Pro downloads.
Access Request:
- Office 365 accounts for students are provisioned automatically, Faculty and Staff can request access for Office 365 via ITS Helpdesk.

Description:
Qatar University has implemented network-based Cisco Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) system, which provides telephone services over a network connection.
Services include:
- Installation of new telephone connections
- Voicemail services
- Mobile VOIP Services
- Extension Mobility
- Advertisement via Phone backgrounds
- Telephone moves and disconnections
- Landline extension maintenance
Access Request:
VOIP Telephone services are provisioned upon joining Qatar University. VOIP Telephony related services are requested via ITS Helpdesk.

Description:
QU Fax service is integrated with QU Email allowing users to send fax through email client such as MS Outlook. Incoming and outgoing faxes can be routed to individuals, departments, document management software, network printers, and network directories as PDF or TIFF images.

Description:
Qatar University has deployed Cisco's Jabber messaging application to connect staff and faculty. The Jabber application is a soft phone that includes presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, video, voice messaging, desktop sharing, and conferencing, to enable users at the university to connect and collaborate. Jabber is available for Android, BlackBerry, iOS, Mac and Windows, and is also integrated with Microsoft Office, so that users can initiate communications from within Office application.
