What you get

  • send and receive file attachments upto 30MB
  • subscribe to an e-mail discussion list


ITS strongly recommends that you use the campus e-mail program, Webmail. Webmail is the QU web browser-based e-mail program. Webmail can be used on any computer that has an up-to-date browser, such as Netscape 4.5 or greater and Internet Explorer 5.0 or greater (4.5 for Macintosh).

Accessing WebMail

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Type the URL into the location or address bar.
  3. Enter your QU login name and e-mail password.
  4. Click on the E-mail icon.

What program and protocol you choose depends on personal preference and what you need to accomplish. For most purposes, IMAP works well, provides the highest level of security and is encouraged by ITS. For a fuller discussion of the difference, please visit this page.
